Taylor County Clerk's office to temporarily move to Plaza

Due to construction and renovation, the Taylor County Clerk's office will be relocated to the Taylor County Plaza, beginning Monday, County Clerk Larry Bevill said Thursday.

Bevill said offices in the Taylor County Courthouse will be closed Friday to accommodate the move, which will be temporary.

Essential services will be relocated to the Plaza, 400 Oak Street, through Jan. 19, he said.

Locations of clerk services during that period include:

►First floor — Misdemeanor payments and pay plans. Marriage licenses. Birth certificates. Death certificates. Military discharge.

►Third floor — Civil, including occupational licenses. Probate and guardianship.

►Fourth floor — Official public records. Property records. Deeds. Brands. Assumed name.

Signs directing traffic will be posted, he said.
