How lucky can you get? For Darlene Vazquez Sierra the answer is purchasing a scratch-off ticket worth $1 million.

On Monday, Vazquez Sierra, 41, played the Florida Lottery’s $10 Mystery Multiplier scratch off game and won the top prize of $1 million. She chose a lump sum payout of $798,985.

Vazquez told Florida Lottery officials she recently moved with her family to Tallahassee from the Orlando area.

“We like Tallahassee so far, and this will definitely help in our search for a home,” Vazquez Sierra told the agency.

Her win is the first for this scratch-off game for 2023, and for Tallahassee.

The winning ticket was purchased at Star Food & Gas, 3601 Woodville Highway. The business will earn a $2,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.

There were 10 $1 million tickets for the Mystery Multiplier game and six have been paid out since 2022, leaving four winning tickets to be claimed.

The odds of purchasing a $1 million ticket are one in 2,051,370.
