Sunoco Saint Clair grand opening

Mar. 4—Saint Clair officially gained another new business Wednesday afternoon when the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting for a new Sunoco gas station and convenience store at South Second and East Lawton streets.

Area officials or their representatives were in attendance, including Gary J. Hess, county commissioner; Sherri Hammer, district office manager for state Rep. Tim Twardzik, R-123; and Tom Gerhard, deputy district director and director of community development for U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser, R-9.

Robert S. Carl Jr., president and CEO of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce, led the ribbon-cutting.

A television, coffeemaker, and blender were raffled off.
