Summer fun returns! Entertainment options abound in Monroe County
After two years of sparse entertainment options, the Monroe County region's local events calendar is filling back up.
Many local and regional fairs, festivals and special events have been set.
Some events, like the Luna Pier Freedom Fest, are returning after a two-year COVID hiatus. Others, including the Milan Music Fest (formerly the Milan Bluegrass Festival), are resuming a larger event after a scaled-back version in 2021.
A couple regular offerings, such as the Sumpter Township Country Fest and the Labor Day Festival at St. Joseph Church in Erie, remain canceled. St. Joseph may hold a one-day festival in the fall; plans will be announced later.
More upcoming events will be announced in The Monroe News as dates are set. To report an event, email events@monroenews.com.
