The week's news was heartbreaking with the mass shooting in Texas. While far from Bucks County, we all feel the pain of those families and that community. Gun violence and our schools is an issue that concerns all of us. Local school districts and police departments here responded to what happened with Texas quickly and many immediately shared safety plans and protocols with parents, while also offering counseling for students. We took a look at the response and will continue our coverage in the coming weeks.

We also reported some stunning breaking news last week with the arrest in a three-decades old murder and arson case in Lower Bucks. This one is still unraveling and investigative reporter Jo Ciavaglia brought exclusive coverage to our subscribers in a story with one of the original investigators on the Joyce Hibbs case.
