Stutsman County has 348 total cases of coronavirus

Jan. 28—Stutsman County has 87 new cases of coronavirus and 348 total active cases, according to information released Friday, Jan. 28, from the North Dakota Department of Health.

Other counties in the Jamestown area with new cases include: Dickey, 15; Barnes, 14; Logan, nine; Foster, eight; Kidder seven; Eddy, four; and LaMoure and Wells, three each.

The daily positivity rate in Stutsman County is 11.63%. Stutsman County has reported 94 total deaths related to coronavirus and 6,333 total cases since the pandemic began.

The vaccination rate in Stutsman County for individuals 12 and older is 62% for those who received at least one dose and 60.5% for those who received two doses, according to the health department.

The vaccination rate in the county for individuals 65 and older is 87.2% for those who received at least one dose and 83.4% for those who received two doses.

North Dakota has 2,124 new cases of coronavirus and 8,736 total active cases. The daily positivity rate in the state is 15.63%.

The total number of breakthrough cases of fully vaccinated individuals in North Dakota is 41,440, or 10.42%, and includes 861 hospitalizations and 208 deaths. The total number of fully vaccinated individuals — someone who has received all doses in their primary vaccine series — is 397,818.

A vaccine breakthrough infection is defined as the detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA or antigen in a respiratory specimen collected from a person at least 14 days after the individual has been fully vaccinated, according to the health department.

The total number of breakthrough cases of individuals who completed their primary series and received a booster is 7,122, or 4.07%, and includes 108 hospitalizations and 18 deaths. The total number of boosted individuals is 175,127.

There have been 2,093 deaths related to coronavirus in North Dakota since the pandemic began.
