Oct. 3—Construction should start by mid-October on the 29-unit Studios at Parkway at 1189 Parkway Drive near Meow Wolf.

These 1,490-square-foot commercial condos in eight buildings will have more of a village feel, with architectural flair, than an anonymous business park feel, said Leslie Giorgetti, one of the partners of Anova LLC, the developer of the project.

Mayor Alan Webber is expected at the Tuesday groundbreaking, she said.

She describes the condos as flex-use spaces intended for smaller businesses or artists. The two-story condos will have rollup aluminum glass garage doors and shifting roof lines and wall alignments.

Each unit is priced at $449,900. Construction is starting on the first phase of 15 units, with completion expected in 12 months. The second phase will start once the first 15 units are sold, Giorgetti said.

The Anova partners are Leslie and Mark Giorgetti, J.R. and Barbara Damron and Jack Hiatt. The architect and general contractor is Palo Santo Designs of Santa Fe.
