Strictly Come Dancing’s Halloween week is always one of the highlights of the series, and fans were left screaming in delight over Michelle Visage’s Addams Family dance which they thought was the treat of the episode.

Viewers thought Visage was perfect in the role of Morticia Addams and were amazed at how much she looked like the character.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race star admitted: “I basically am Morticia Addams, put on a red lipstick and that’s me.”

With her partner Giovanni Pernice, she performed a Foxtrot themed on the classic film and the pair easily fell into the roles of Morticia and Gomez.

They chased away any demons from their lowest-scoring routine of last week, scaring off the competition to top the leaderboard with 39 points.

However, the show’s grumpiest judge Craig Revel Horwood, who was the only one not to award Visage a full 10 points, seemed to be in an even more vicious mood than usual for Halloween.

Revel Horwood slated many of the dances, including a Charleston from Emma Weymouth and Aljaz Skorjanec which the audience had loved.

He told the Viscountess: “Your truckin’ step was just lame, darling.”

Show favourite Karim Zeroual and his partner Amy Dowden had the audience on their feet with a Stranger Things inspired Paso Doble, but again Revel Horwood wasn’t impressed.

He told the CBBC presenter: “It lacked a paso style for me...it was frenetic...it didn’t feel like a paso.”

The show was eerily unlucky for some of its stars this week as Alex Scott had to be re-paired with Kevin Clifton just an hour before the show when Neil Jones was injured, and Will Bayley damaged his knee in training meaning that neither he nor partner Janette Manrara could perform.

Bayley and Manrara get a pass through to next week, while Scott managed to score an impressive 34 points with stand-in partner Clifton.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Sunday at 7.15pm on BBC One for the results show.
