Strasburg, Conotton Valley ranked in top five in final state softball coaches poll
Inter-Valley Conference rivals Strasburg and Conotton Valley were ranked in the top five in Division IV as the final Ohio High School Softball Coaches poll was released Sunday night.
The Tigers were ranked No. 2 and the Rockets were No. 4. Strasburg had two first-place votes and 104 points, while Conotton Valley had 65 points.
Russia is No. 1 in Div. IV with two first-place votes and 114 points. Mechanicsburg was No. 3 with two first-place votes and 98 points.
New Philadelphia ended up No. 10 in Division I.
Meanwhile, three area teams are just outside the top 10 in the latest Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association poll.
Dover is No. 11 in Division I, Indian Valley is No. 11 on Division II and Hiland is No. 11 in Division IV, while Harrison Central received two votes in Division III.
