The Upside Down is just the beginning.

Stranger Things” star Sadie Sink told People in a new interview that the long-awaited fourth season of the Netflix sci-fi series, hitting the streamer on May 27, will be “the most bizarre season we’ve ever had.”

“Just the scale of it is out of this world,” the 20-year-old actress, who joined the cast as Maxine “Max” Mayfield in season 2, told the magazine.

Sink also said that the new villain those in the fictional town of Hawkins, Ind., will have to contend with — teased in the trailer — is “really scary.”

But it isn’t just the genre horrors that are developing in the penultimate season.

“We get to explore a lot of different themes and different sides of the characters that everyone knows and loves, so I’m looking forward to it,” said Sink, who would “go on forever” if she could.

“Stranger Things” creators Matt and Ross Duffer in February confirmed that the supernatural sensation would be ending with the fifth season, after a two-part fourth season. “Volume 2″ will hit the streamer on July 1.

“With nine scripts, over 800 pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one,” said the Duffer Brothers.

The Emmy-winning series, which premiered in 2016, last premiered new episodes in summer 2019. The show was among the productions pushed back amid the coronavirus pandemic.
