Storm pipe work to close 800 block of East Main Street

RICHMOND, Ind. — The 800 block of East Main Street will close starting Wednesday for about two weeks.

Milestone, a contractor for the Indiana Department of Transportation, will be installing storm water pipe on U.S. 27, necessitating the closure, according to a news release. Although the block will be closed to traffic and parking, pedestrian access to businesses will remain available.

The closure is expected to last approximately two weeks.

INDOT asks drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving without distractions when in and around work zones.
