Steph’s first time teaming up with LeBron ‘should be pretty memorable’

Golden State Warriors All-Star Steph Curry and Los Angeles Lakers All-Star LeBron James have both had memorable careers of their own, to say the least. From MVP’s, All-Star Game’s, and winning the NBA Finals; both Curry and James have reached the mountain top several times. But their journey through the NBA and to that mountain top wouldn’t be the same without their battles against each other.

From 2014-15 to 2017-18, the NBA Finals matchup was just that: Steph Curry vs. LeBron James, with Curry and the Warriors winning three of the four. And through six All-Star appearances together, Curry and James had yet to play on the same time. Until this year.

During the NBA All-Star draft on Tuesday, Western Conference captain LeBron James selected Steph Curry with the third overall pick in the draft, behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kyrie Irving, making for the first time that Curry and James have played on the same team at any capacity.

"I've played against him for the last 12 years, and obviously the Finals and all that back and forth and All-Star Game's and what not so it'll be dope to compete and go out here to try and get this win and represent Team LeBron."

Curry joins Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, and Nikola Jokic in the starting lineup alongside LeBron James on Team LeBron.

"It's going to be a pretty cool experience. We've got a stacked team. Ready to go out there and just enjoy ourselves and get a brand new experience that me and him have never had before. Should be pretty memorable, for sure."

Prior to his seventh All-Star appearance, Steph will participate in the 3-Point Contest, also his seventh appearance in the contest, winning only once back in 2015. https://twitter.com/StephenCurry30/status/1368591076529995776?s=20
