At the end of Sunday’s 19-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons, the Pittsburgh Steelers safety had a pick-six to seal the win. Except he didn’t. Fitzpatrick did pick off Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan with just seconds left to play and had a clean run to the end zone.
But instead of fighting his way to a score and potentially having the football stripped away, Fitzpatrick casually jogged out of bounds and let the offense close things out with the victory formation.
After the game, Fitzpatrick took to Twitter to have a little fun at all the fantasy football managers who missed out on that touchdown. I would like to think that any Steelers fan who happens to have the Steelers defense would be much happier with the team win.
