State champions and scoring standouts: Vote for the Tennessean boys athlete of the week

Vote now for The Tennessean's high school boys athlete of the week.

Fans may vote one time per hour. The poll ends at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Alex Broome, Lipscomb Academy: Broome was the DII-AA MVP running for 137 yards and two touchdowns while also catching five passes for 23 yards in a 27-0 win over CPA.

Jacob Cook, DCA: Cook was the DII-A MVP returning a kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown and also recording a team-high 10 tackles in a 31-7 win over Nashville Christian.

Taylor Groves, East Robertson: Groves averaged 29 points in two games scoring 31 in a win over Portland and 27 in a win over White House.

Nemo Holmes, FRA: Holmes scored 18 points in a win over GCA and then recorded a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds in a win over USN.

Jordan James, Oakland: James was named the Class 6A MVP ster rushing for 232 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries in the 43-26 win over Summit. He also had two receptions for 57 yards.

Ashton McCarver, Smyrna: McCarver averaged 25.7 points in three games scoring 33 in a win over Shelbyville, 25 in a win over Franklin County and 19 in a narrow loss to Centennial.

Jake McNamara, Page: McNamara completed 32-of-56 passes for 291 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in the 42-34 loss to Powell in the Class 5A championship.

Jett Montgomery, Independence: Montgomery averaged 23 points in two games and made nine 3-pointers scoring 27 against Cane Ridge and 19 against Rockvale.

Krys Uselton, Tullahoma: Uselton caught the game-winning interception in the second overtime of Tullahoma's 21-14 win over Elizabethton in the Class 4A championship.

Destin Wade, Summit: Wade completed 8-of-19 passes for 137 yards and one touchdown. He also had 165 yards and two touchdowns rushing against Oakland.
