WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Starbucks announced Monday its new location at 1830 Eighth St. S. will open on Dec. 6. A sign in front of the new café said hours would be 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

According to city documents, customers will be able to get to the coffee shop from Eighth and Seventh streets.

The new coffee shop, between Checkers and Taco Bell, was announced in January, and construction on the 2,400-square-foot building has been underway all summer and into the fall.

A spokesperson for Starbucks said earlier this month the coffee shop will have a drive-thru and the café will employ 25-30 workers.
