You could get paid $1,000 to watch every 'Star Wars' movie back-to-back

Plenty of "Star Wars" fans will likely already be binge-watching the entire series this month — but only one will get paid to do it.

Leading up to the release of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" on Dec. 20, CableTV.com is going to make one Jedi-in-the-making's dreams come true.

The company recently announced the contest, in which one lucky Twitter user will get paid to watch 10 "Star Wars" films in a row — a task that apparently pays a smooth $1,000.

And it doesn't take any Force powers to apply, either. All an applicant must do is submit a form on the company's website, along with a brief description of why they believe they're destined to become the chosen one. Applications close Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

CableTV.com is seemingly looking for someone with plenty of personality, as the winner will be asked to live-tweet their thoughts while marathoning the series. The company recommends making those qualities clear the application essay.

"Point out parts of your personality that make you stand out from the crowd. Can you telepathically lift an X-Wing from a swamp? Or do you have Palpatine’s persuasive powers? Let us know what makes you the chosen one," the contest description reads.

And there's more than just money in store for the lucky padawan. The winner will also get all 10 of the "Star Wars" movies on Blu-ray, plus a Nerf Han Solo "blaster," an R2-D2 popcorn popper and a Chewbacca onesie to help get cozy during the marathon.

That last item might be necessary too. CableTV.com estimates that the binge-watch will take exactly 22 hours and 25 minutes. If that feels like a lot, it may help that the payment for that time will work out to about $45 per hour — all while wearing pajamas.
