Aug. 14—What he's done

Bryant has made the most of his touches at Strom Thurmond wherever he's been asked, primarily as a runner last year after making a splash as a wide receiver in 2020.

Last year the Rebels' offense had several backs vying for carries, and Bryant showed his big-play ability when his number was called. He accounted for a total of 687 yards and six touchdowns on 81 offensive touches, adding to his 24 catches for 453 yards and five touchdowns from his sophomore season.

Why he's here

Bryant would make this list no matter what type of offense the Rebels decided to run this year, but the new attack under first-year head coach Andrew Webb should perfectly highlight Bryant's abilities.

Webb wants the offense to play faster with more big-play potential, which is exactly what Bryant can do with his All-State track speed. Add in that strong-armed quarterback Quan Edmond is back after missing most of last season due to injury, and it's an even better fit.

What to expect

Expect Edmond-to-Bryant to become one of the most feared deep-ball combos in the state to go along with all of the other ways Webb can find to get the ball to his top receiver.

Also expect a lot more college coaches to take note — Bryant has offers from schools like Duquesne, Howard, Charleston Southern and Bryant, but plenty more should roll in once he gets rolling again.
