St. Vincent-St. Mary High School has hired Kyle Sasala to serve as its Athletic Director.

Sasala was the Athletic Director at Bishop Fenwick High School in Franklin, Ohio. He is a Brunswick native and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he earned Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Sports Administration.

During his time at Bishop Fenwick, Sasala was nominated for the Horizon Award for the Southwest District Athletic Board. He also oversaw the renovation of Bishop Fenwick’s new eight-lane track and the formation of a new Student-Athlete Leadership Team.

Sasala succeeds Willie McGee who spent the past seven years as the STVM Athletic Director. McGee stepped down to take a job with the LeBron James Family Foundation.

“I want to thank the hiring committee for the opportunity to be a part of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and to lead the Athletic Department," Sasala said in a statement.

"I plan to build upon the rich history and traditions here at STVM. I want our student-athletes to succeed not only on the field, but more importantly off the field as great young men and women. I am beyond excited to meet the faculty, staff, coaches, student-athletes, and community and cannot wait to get started."
