St. Johns County offering special mass Valentine’s Day wedding ceremony

Is it time to tie the knot?

St. Johns County couples ready to say “I Do” can participate in a group wedding on Valentine's Day for $30.

The first such event in St. Johns County for 50 couples will be performed by the St. Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s Office in partnership with the Seventh Judicial Circuit at 1 p.m. Feb. 14 in the Courtroom Annex, 4010 Lewis Speedway in St. Augustine.

To get hitched in this ceremony, couples can register at https://stjohnsclerk.com/wedding/ or call 904-819-3604 no later than Feb. 12. The ceremony is limited to the first 50 couples to sign up. For $30, plus the cost of the marriage license, couples will receive a digital photograph and video of the event.

Couples still must pay for a marriage license and receive it by Feb. 10. For information about license requirements and fees, go to https://stjohnsclerk.com/marriage-licenses-ceremonies/. Florida has a mandatory three-day waiting period for marriage licenses.
