Sports Briefs: Lebanon baseball wins on walk-off

The Lebanon baseball team had a senior night to remember on Monday night.

The Tigers won 4-3 in 10 innings over Danville, winning on a walk-off home run from Cannon Morton.

Lebanon led 2-0 in the first on a 2-run homer by Brayton Bowen.

But Danville tied the game in the fourth, then took a 3-2 lead in the fifth.

Lebanon tied the game in the seventh, getting a 1-out double from Michael Richwine. Two batters later with two outs, Corbin Wells tied the game with a single.

The score remained that way until the 10th, when Morton hit an 2-2 pitch out over the left-field fence.

Wells was 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI.

Bowen was 2-for-5.

Wells got the win on the mound, going the final 6.1 innings and allowing one run. He struck out six.

Lebanon Tennis

The Lebanon girls tennis team clinched the out-right Sagamore Conference title for the second-straight year with a 3-2 win over Southmont on Friday.

At No. 1 singles, Ava Lehmkuhler topped Hanna Long 6-2, 6-1. At No. 2 singles, Molly Barber defeated Bailey Barker 6-0, 6-1.

At No. 3 singles, Southmont's Marley Jones defeated Breanna Page 7-6(7-5), 7-6(7-1).

At No. 1 doubles, Irene Ransom/Michelle Horvat defeated Dori Frederick/Courtlyn Carpenter 6-1, 6-0 and at No. 2 doubles, Kela Johnson/Chaney Scott defeated Lebanon's Aaliyah Carlisle/Kate Williams 7-6(7-2), 6-2.

WeBo Softball

The Western Boone softball team lost 1-0 to Southmont.

The Mounties scored the game's lone run in the top of the seventh.

Gabby Lewis was 2-for-3 for the Stars, who also got hits from Emily Conyer, Jozzy Lewis and Chloe Gillan.

Gabby Lewis allowed just four hits and struck out seven.

Lebanon Softball

The Lebanon softball team lost to Danville 12-5.

Kiana Richards, Charli Albea, Kylie Kadel and Hannah Wilborn all had two hits for the Tigers. Krryn Miller and Lillie Hollingsworth had one hit.
