'Spider-Man: Far From Home' deleted scene: Watch Peter Parker nap with M.J., get new Tony Stark specs (exclusive)

Turns out one of the more adorable moments from Spider-Man: Far From Home didn't make the theatrical cut.

In a deleted scene (watch exclusively above), Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and his new girlfriend, M.J. (Zendaya), catch some Z's on each other while flying back to New York from London. Figures they'd be exhausted after defeating that cunning master of illusions Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) in an explosive drone-filled battle around the British metropolis.

But still the fact that the filmmakers cut the sequence is surprising given how much fans have yearned to see the pair become an item since M.J. was first introduced in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming.

While the pair's cuddle time is short-lived, the clip, which will be featured on the film's home entertainment release, goes on to show Peter has scored a second pair of glasses from his late mentor Tony Stark, which he shows off for his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei).

"I think a little obvious," May tells Peter when he asks what she thinks, and before finding out who they came from. "Oh," she says in an attempt to make amends. "I think you're gonna grow into them." (Here's where we cry a little over the fact that Tony and his MCU brethren — like poor Happy! — might have no presence in the next Spider-Man movie after Sony and Marvel's recent split.)

What he doesn't have is any baggage — of the physical variety, anyway.

"That's right, they got blown up," May says, as if that's totally normal.

Such is the life of Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is now available for digital download. It lands on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 1.
