Warsaw beats Michigan City 35-7 at Warsaw. German Flores-Ortega with 184 yards rushing and three touchdowns to lead Tigers. City, ranked No. 3 in Class 5A preseason poll, beat Warsaw 35-16 last season.

New Prairie 35, LaPorte 0, final

New Prairie rolled past LaPorte 35-0. Marshall Kmiecik threw for 174 yards and a touchdown, adding 11 carries for 88 yards and a score, to pace the Cougars. Dallas Ryans, who had seven catches for 123 yards, snagged a six-yard touchdown in the final minute of the second quarter as the Cougars took a 28-0 lead into halftime. Noah Mungia ran 24 times for 111 yards and two scores. Brice Vanbrauene had two interceptions.

New Prairie 21, LaPorte 0

Host New Prairie makes it 21-0 over LaPorte late in the opening half. Noah Mungia with his second touchdown run of the night for the Cougars.
