The Jets' offensive line seems to take baby steps forward each week, but they're still missing their top tackle, Mekhi Becton.

His initial timetable for return was somewhere near mid-November as he's dealing with a knee injury. But SNY's Ralph Vacchiano said during Jets Pre-Game Live that a source told him it's "probably too soon," and looking more like post-Thanksgiving for the 2020 first-round pick.

Head coach Robert Saleh did say Becton was a few weeks away from returning.

Vacchiano also mentioned whether or not Becton would get his left tackle spot back, and Jets fans, don't rage too much. As we mentioned, the line is improving by the week.

Who knows what will happen in a month? Do you break up what isn't broken?

If the line is looking connected, there will be conversations in the Jets' coaching meetings, especially considering the Jets didn't believe Becton was completely healthy this summer as he was dealing with plantar fasciitis in his foot.

There's no doubting Becton is the left tackle of the future for New York, but they want to make sure he's playing completely healthy to preserve that blindside protection for Zach Wilson.
