According to multiple news outlets, this 13-bedroom, 10.5-bath home is the most expensive sold in Wisconsin, but it could have gone for more.

It was listed for $39.25 million in 2021, which was almost “double the $20,750,000 list price of another grand mansion in Lake Geneva,” Realtor.com said.

“This sale proves once again that Lake Geneva is in a class all by itself in the Midwest and is indeed one of the premier vacation home markets in the US,” real estate agent David Curry said to Robb Report.

The 40-acre Glanworth Gardens, as the mansion is called, was built in 1906 and completely renovated in the 1990s by Driehaus Capital Management founder Richard Driehaus, who had bought the mansion for around $5 million, Mansion Global reported.
