Amarillo tied the game in the top of the ninth and got two quick outs to start the bottom as the game appeared heading to extras. Cesar Salazar then hit a solo home run to give Corpus Christi a walk off 4-3 victory. The Sod Poodles are now 31-36 on the season.

It was a pitchers dual for the first four and a half innings as neither team could get on the board. The Hooks took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the fifth and things went scoreless from there until the eighth.

That's when Andy Yerzy hit a solo home run to cut the Corpus Christi lead in half.  A Wilyear Abreu solo homer returned the lead to two runs, 3-1, in the bottom of the eighth.

Robby Enriquez managed to secure a two-run RBI single to score Ti'Quan Forbes and Tim Tawa to tie the game up in the top of the ninth and put Amarillo in solid position. Salazar's solo shot ended any hope of a Soddies victory after that.
