Social Media Reactions to the commitment of 5-star WR DeAndre Moore

At some point we’re going to run out of words to describe just how special the 2023 recruiting class is. What Lincoln Riley and the Oklahoma Sooners’ are building in the 2023 recruiting cycle is going to be huge when these guys get to Norman in a couple of years.

DeAndre Moore Jr. joins fellow five-star wide receivers Brandon Inniss and Makai Lemon in a class that was the no. 1 recruiting class in the cycle according to 247Sports, and could be one of the best ever if this trend continues.

In the early stages of the 2023 recruiting cycle, Notre Dame and Penn State are the only other schools with a five-star commitment. They each have one. The Sooners now have four.

With Moore’s commitment, the Sooners now have seven players pledged to join the university in 2023. That includes Inniss and Lemon, the cycle’s no. 2 quarterback Malachi Nelson, Treyaun Webb (four-star), Luke Hasz (four-star), and rising three-star center Josh Bates.

Certainly, things could still change as we’ve seen with the 2022 class, however, with all of the departures from that group, 2023’s group of five-star wide receivers will have a clear path to contributing perhaps as early as their true freshmen seasons.
