Some Kansas snow totals were over 20 inches. Here's where the most snow fell

While the snow storm avoided much of Kansas, cities in the west of the state and near the Colorado border were coated with as much as 27 inches of snow.

As of 9:40 a.m. CT, some roads were reported as covered in snow or ice but no road closures were reported in western Kansas, according to Kanas Department of Transportation's KanDrive map.

Here's a look at the top five locations reporting the most amount of snow after the storm hit western Kansas, according to the NWS Wednesday morning.

  1. 12 NNW Weskan: 27 inches of snow

  2. 16 S Kanorado: 24 inches of snow

  3. Modoc: 22 inches of snow

  4. Sharon Springs: 21 inches of snow

  5. Marienthal: 20 inches of snow
