Here are snow-related closings, cancellations in the Hagerstown, Tri-State area

Changes due to inclement weather include:

Maryland

  • Washington County Museum of Fine Arts was closed to the public Tuesday, Jan. 18. The museum will reopen Wednesday at 10 a.m.

  • The City of Hagerstown has delayed trash and recycling pickup as a result of the snowstorm. All collections will be delayed one day for the entire week.

  • The Washington County Highway Department announced a road closure on Beard Spur Road; between Old Forge Road and Route 62 due to downed trees and power lines. The road will be closed until further notice.

West Virginia

  • All Berkeley County Schools, PreK-12, will be closed Jan. 19, 2022 due to road conditions in areas across the district. After school activities are canceled. The Board of Education meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 25.

  • Jefferson County Schools facilities are operating on a two-hour delay Wednesday, Jan. 19, with re-evaluation of road conditions in the morning. Essential personnel are asked to report for snow removal.

  • Morgan County Schools is operating on a two-hour delay Wednesday, Jan. 19. Employees follow reporting code D. The Morgan County Board of Education meeting scheduled for Jan. 18 was canceled. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Berkeley Springs High School.
