Sneaky Squirrel Steals Snacks in South London Supermarket
A sly squirrel sneaked into a Sainsbury’s supermarket in search of a snack in Clapham, south London, footage posted on August 15 shows.
Carys Jones, who captured the video, said the rodent was “munching away” over a tray of broccoli on a high shelf in the vegetable aisle.
“It didn’t seem bothered by people. It was really funny to see,” Jones told Storyful.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said, “Safety and food hygiene standards are our highest priority. A curious squirrel was removed from our Balham Hill Local store this week after it popped in for a visit.”
