If you love wearing lipstick, you likely loathe reapplying it after every drink, kiss or mask-wearing errand run. Well, that makeup woe is about to become a thing of the past. This simple lipstick hack will make any lippie stay all day — and it’s super inexpensive.

In the latest episode of Pretty Beautiful, In The Know producer Lisa Azcona teaches lipstick lovers how to give their pout some staying power. The first step is to apply a killer lipstick. That’s easy. Once you apply the lipstick, grab a tissue and separate it into two layers. Place one tissue layer over your lips and pat it down. Then, using a fluffy brush and translucent powder, dust the powder over your tissue-covered lips throughly. FYI, Lisa uses the cult classic Coty Airspun Face Powder, which is worth way more than the $6 price tag. Once peeling off the tissue, you will have that long-lasting lip color.

As Lisa explains, the powder absorbs the excess moisture of the lipstick, giving it a more satin to matte finish — and adding some additional staying power to the formula. As a result, your lipstick becomes virtually transfer-proof, meaning no more stains on straws or lipstick smears on the inside of masks.

Thanks to this easy hack, you can kiss smeared lipstick goodbye.
