DCSO says the incident started as a disagreement southeast of Douglasville and north of Campbellton near the Chattahoochee River.

Deputies say at around 1:30 p.m. someone fired a gun in a neighborhood off Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville.

Our photographer at the scene saw numerous shell casings littering the street and crime scene tape strung up across several home.

Chapel Hill High School and Middle school about a mile away were both on lockdown, but it’s unclear if the lockdowns were related to the shooting.

Several homes were damaged by bullets, but no injuries were reported.

Deputies have not said it they know who the shooter was or what the motive was. It’s unclear if any particular house was targeted.
