The first of two interceptions by sophomore Jackson Pfister was a pick six on the first play from scrimmage as Manalapan improved to 3-3 against the winless Colonials.

The Patriots (3-3) rallied back from a 14-0 halftime deficit, then stopped the Mustangs (2-3) on a two-point conversion in the final minute.

Junior Albert D’Alessandro scored three touchdowns, including a 90-yard pick six and a 58-yard reception.

The Cougars (4-1) have won four in a row. Matt Scully had a pair of TD runs; Will Surdez ran for another score and Dom Beninato threw a touchdown pass to Aidan Manasso.

Brett Patten, in his return to play after being sidelined with an injury, surpassed the school record with his 40th touchdown pass. Previously winless Manasquan led 28-0 at halftime.

Howell 24, Wall 14
Egan Nelms threw for over 250 yards with two touchdowns and Jack Gartenstein had eight receptions for Howell (3-2) against winless Wall.

Jaimin Parkinson had four touchdown rushes for the Wildcats (2-3).
