BERLIN — Points were at a premium for Sheridan on Monday night.

But, the Generals turned up their defensive pressure to shut down defending Division III state champion Berlin Hiland in a 33-27 victory in the final game of the Classic in the Country on the Hawks' homecourt.

Sheridan, which improved to 13-2, only led 9-6 through one quarter then took a 14-12 edge into halftime. Both teams found some offense in the third, as the Generals built a 26-21 advantage entering the fourth quarter.

Sheridan's game with Logan on Wednesday has been canceled.
