Sheetz hosts grand opening in Ellwood City
ELLWOOD CITY – The brand-new Sheetz in Ellwood City will host a grand opening Dec. 22.
A ribbon-cutting and customer giveaways will help mark the celebration for the Altoona-based company's 763rd convenience store, located at 14 Fifth St.
Everyone bringing a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will receive a Sheetz branded bag, between 9 -11 a.m. that day, while supplies last.
Sheetz will offer customers free coffee and soda for the entire grand opening day.
One lucky customer will win the grand prize of "Sheetz for a Year* (a *$2,500 Sheetz Z-Card), with sign-ups at the store from 9-11 a.m. at the big red tent. The winner will be announced at 11 a.m. after the ribbon is cut.
Two $250 Z-Card giveaways happen at 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

"Sheetz is excited to be offering our customers in Ellwood City a new store, which will include a restaurant-style experience with self-service kiosks and seating both inside and outside the store," Nick Ruffner, PR manager for Sheetz, said. "The store, which is over 6,000-square feet, will include 10 fuel terminals and employ 30 individuals, a majority of which will be full time."
