“An Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) building, around 150 homes, one apartment complex, several shops, cafes, and industrial sites – all were damaged (by the Russian missile strike),” said Sytailo.

“One person died, a rail worker; three of his colleagues and one Malyn resident were injured.”

Emergency services and paramedics are on site, along with law enforcement. The fire was extinguished by 7 p.m on May 22.

Malyn was attacked by Russian sea-launched cruise missiles, four of which have been intercepted by Ukraine’s air defense.
