Selling Sunset season 5 is officially happening! After season 4 dropped on the streaming service this winter, the cast have confirmed that there's even more to look forward to, as season 5 is on its way too.

So, if you're itching for more fancy houses and dramatic fall outs, you're in luck. Here's everything we know about Selling Sunset season 5 so far...

When will Selling Sunset season 5 be released?

The release date for Selling Sunset season 5 hasn't been confirmed yet. However, there's some good news, as Mary Fitzgerald revealed in mid-December that filming had officially wrapped.

"Lots of 🔔🔔🔔 today because we are officially wrapped with Season 5!🤩" she shared with a photo from The Oppenheim Group offices.

Chrishell Stause also recently shared an Instagram post celebrating the success of newly-released season 4, while taking to the comments to offer some updates on the much-anticipated season 5.

One follower wrote, "They should just release season 5 already, so you guys can start filming season 6-10 lol".

Chrishell then responded, writing, "Season 5 won't be too long of a wait! We just wrapped filming!" Honestly, this is the good news we need right about now.

Seasons 4 and 5 appear to have been filmed back to back, so it makes sense that the fifth series won't be too far behind the fourth, which dropped on 24 November.

Similarly, seasons 2 and 3 were previously released in pretty close succession, with the former dropping in May 2020 and the latter in August of the same year, so looks like we'll be set to see another short gap between the season 4 and 5 release dates (here's hoping).

Plus, Jason Oppenheim recently confirmed a Selling Sunset spin-off show about his Orange County-based estate agency, titled Selling the OC, so there's that to look forward too as well.

When was Selling Sunset season 5 confirmed?

Netflix first confirmed a fifth series of Selling Sunset back in March 2021, announcing that the hit docusoap had been renewed for two new seasons (i.e. seasons 4 and 5).

The cast then took to Instagram to celebrate the beginning of production on season 4 in May of the same year - and it looks as though season 5 may have also begun filming around the same time.

The real estate agents each shared a number of pictures from set, with Mary Fitzgerald posting a snap alongside her fellow agents with the caption: "We’re back baby! Selling Sunset Season 4 & 5 coming to you so so sooooon!!! ⭐️🎥"

Mary's caption seems to suggest that series 4 and 5 were shot in conjunction, so we can expect the seasons to follow on closely from one another.

Who will star in Selling Sunset season 5?

Not much has been announced about season 5 as of yet. However, given that filming for seasons 4 and 5 appears happened back to back, we can expect the two series to feature much of the same cast.

Announcing the two new seasons in March, Netflix confirmed that the returning cast would include: Jason and Brett Oppenheim, Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald, Romain Bonnet, Heather Rae Young, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander, and Davina Potratz.

Plus, Netflix announced that two more new real estate agents would be joining the show for season 4, tweeting back in May: "Selling Sunset fans, those Oppenheim couches are getting a little more crowded in Season 4. Vanessa Villela, a Mexican-American novela star turned real estate agent and Emma Hernan, an entrepreneur who has an interesting history with the ladies have joined the cast."

Given the fact that season 5 was announced alongside season 4 (and that they appear to have been shot around the same time), it seems likely Vanessa and Emma will also be back for the fifth series.

What can we expect from Selling Sunset season 5?

While Jason Oppenheim and Chrishell's relationship hasn't played out on screen yet, the good news is it will be included in the next instalment. “We became best friends before anything, and I’ve never had that before," she told Cosmopolitan UK.

"We know everything about each other and tell each other everything. We’re silly and laugh a lot. I love that there’s no need to try and pretend to be the best version of yourself. I recommend being friends with someone first - I’ve never done that before and it’s quite different.”

The trip will also involve a holiday to Greece for a few of the cast members, which is when Chrishell and Jason went public with their relationship, and Christine insists she also features in every episode.

When asked by a fan whether she was still part of Selling Sunset, thanks to the fact she didn't appear in many promotional photos with the rest of the cast, she said, "I'm soooo tired of addressing this," she wrote. "I am in every single episode of season 4 and 5 of Selling Sunset. The girls leave me out of photos.

"I have real work to do besides sit on my phone and prove 24/7 that I’m filming a TV show. Y'all going to see me."

We can't wait!
