Selena Gomez has confessed she “soiled” herself on the way to an Ed Sheeran concert.

The 27-year-old singer and actress revealed she got stuck in traffic on the way to the gig, but was so excited to see the Shape Of You star perform she didn’t want to miss the show.

Gomez told KISS FM radio: “Me and my friends, we love going to concerts back home.

“Ed Sheeran was playing at the Hollywood Bowl and there was so much traffic and I was very uncomfortable, let’s say ‘down there’, in that area.

“I will say that it was the first time I have maybe soiled my pants a bit. I was that excited but I didn’t want to leave.

“So I just went, alright, I’ll put a little sweater in the bottom of me to kind of make it through the concert.”

The Bad Liar singer was taking part in a game segment on the show called “Liar Liar”, in which she had to tell three lies and one truth. The other stories were about her godson ruining her cousin’s wedding cake and being taught how to attack a lion with a spear by Maasai warriors.

But Gomez admitted the Ed Sheeran concert story was the truth, laughing, “Just so you know, I’ve never told anyone that!”

Gomez and Sheeran, 28, are thought to have been friends for several years, both being close friends of Taylor Swift.

Sheeran reminisced about touring with Swift to Rolling Stone magazine in 2017, saying: “I was this 22-year-old awkward British kid going on tour with the biggest artist in America, who has all these famous mates.

“It was very easy. I would often find myself in situations just kind of waking up and looking over and being like, ‘How the f*** did that happen?’”
