See Vanderbilt basketball's epic buzzer-beater to stun Tennessee as fans storm court
Vanderbilt basketball's Tyrin Lawrence barely beat the buzzer to end an 11-game losing streak against No. 5 Tennessee, cuing a court-storming celebration after the 66-65 win at Memorial Gymnasium.
The decisive 3-pointer gave Vanderbilt its first win over Tennessee since Feb. 22, 2017.
After the shot, fans celebrated with Lawrence and the rest of the Commodores (12-12, 5-6 SEC) on the court. The celebration will undoubtedly result in a fine from the SEC office, but it still was catharsis after the best win of the Jerry Stackhouse era.
Here's a replay of the shot:

The shot was significant for Lawrence, who scored a game-high 19 points. Lawrence was benched by Stackhouse for Vanderbilt's 101-44 loss to Alabama on Jan. 31.
As Stackhouse later explained, Lawrence had showed up to practice smiling after the Commodores' previous loss to Texas A&M.
But since that benching, Vanderbilt has won consecutive games, first against Ole Miss and then Tennessee (19-5, 8-3).
