See rally squirrel scurry on field, propel Arkansas softball to late-inning win vs. Oregon

It was a scoreless game in the sixth inning between the Oregon Ducks and Arkansas Razorbacks.

Then a squirrel ran on the field, and everything changed for Arkansas.

The next four batters reached base with back-to-back home runs apart of that streak.

Arkansas' Hannah Gammill was at the plate when the rally squirrel paused the action. Gammill proceeded to single.

Arkansas designated hitter Linnie Malkin was the next batter to come to the plate, and she delivered a three-run home run over the center-field fence. Arkansas' Danielle Gibson (who was on base ahead of Gammill) and Gammill also scored on the home run.

Arkansas' Kacie Hoffmann gave the Razorbacks back-to-back home runs when she followed Malkin with a solo home run, and Arkansas led Oregon 4-0.

Audrie LaValley was hit by a pitch, and KB Sides walked. Those two scored on a Hannah McEwen double, and Arkansas was up 6-0 in the sixth inning.

Oregon got two runs in the seventh inning, and Arkansas beat Oregon 6-2.

The Arkansas Razorbacks improved to 46-9 overall. Oregon went to 32-18 overall.

Arkansas advances to the NCAA Tournament Fayetteville Regional final at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday. Oregon faces the winner of Wichita State vs. Princeton at 9:15 p.m. CT on Saturday.
