Sectional run ends for Edgewood boys' soccer
GREENCASTLE — Northview scored in the final two minutes of the first half and added an insurance goal in the second half to post a 2-0 win over stubborn Edgewood in the semifinals of the Class 2A Greencastle boys' soccer sectional on Wednesday.
The Mustangs (2-14) kept the Knights in check before Matthew Mullenix scored with 1:18 left in the opening half. He didn't wait nearly as long to strike again, giving his team a two-goal lead with 25:59 to go.
Northview (7-9) advances to take on the host No. 14 Tiger Cubs (15-2-1) in Saturday's final.
