A section of Main Street in Southborough was closed Friday morning. Here's why

SOUTHBOROUGH — A portion of Main Street that was closed this morning due to a gas main break has since been reopened, town officials said in a press release.

The gas main break occurred on Main Street near the railroad crossing.

Main Street (Route 30) was closed from its intersection with Marlboro and Cordaville Roads (Route 85) and heading east until the intersection with Newton Street.

Officials announced at 10:30 a.m. that the site was cleared and that Main Street had reopened.
