NYSPHSAA Regional Finals

Class D: Deposit/Hancock 4, Morrisville/Eaton 1

Caden Fortunato pitched a two-hitter, striking out 15, walking none and allowing an unearned run to lead D/H into the state semifinals. He was 2-for-3 with two doubles and 2 RBI; Tom Reis was 2-for-3. Deposit/Hancock will play Crown Point in a state semifinal at 2 p.m. June 10 at SUNY Broome Community College. The championship game is set for 4 p.m. June 11 at Binghamton University.

Class B: Westhill 10, Oneonta 9

Westhill broke a 9-9 tie with a run in the bottom of the sixth inning on an RBI single from Anthony Sampo. Oneonta scored six runs in the fifth to lead 8-5 and Westhill responded with four in the bottom of the inning. Oneonta scored the tying run in the sixth on an error and loaded the bases with one out in the seventh, but two pop-outs ended the game. Carter Neer 3-for-4 with 2 runs for Oneonta and Aidan Gelbsman was 2-for-3 with 3 RBI. Westhill's Mike Madigan was 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and Brady Richardson drove in 3 runs.

Class C: Adirondack 2, Lansing 1

Bailey Gleasman and Gabe Chiocki had RBI singles in the sixth as Adirondack rallied for the win. Carson Crandall had an RBI single in the top of the sixth for Lansing, which finished with a 16-6 record. Colin White pitched a two-hitter for Adirondack, striking out 5 and walking 4. Lansing's Zack Sperger went the distance and allowed 4 hits and struck out 7 over six innings.
