Sculpting oranges for Olympics guests
Sculpting food has been a part of Chinese culture for hundreds of years according to the China Culture website, and is often used to create pieces of fruit or vegetables into flowers or birds.
Du has carved a number of items into food including the Olympic rings logo and the Chinese character for winter, her latest piece showcases Bing Dwen Dwen, a panda wearing a suit of ice, who is the mascot for this year's Games.
Speaking from the Main Media Centre in Beijing, Du says, ''I also think that it is a good way to showcase our Chinese traditional culture. This is our Winter Olympics mascot Bing Dwen Dwen, I reckon it is very cute as a carving on an orange.''
