May 10—Three of Schuylkill County's state legislators will be available to the public through one office in downtown Pottsville.

On Friday, state Sen. David G. Argall, R-29, Rush Twp., and state Reps. Joe Kerwin, R-125, Lykens, and Tim Twardzik, R-123, Butler Twp. (Schuylkill County), gathered in downtown Pottsville to celebrate the "grand reopening" of their new joint office. Previously, only Argall had occupied the office.

"This new joint office will allow for greater cooperation between the House and the Senate and — most importantly — will save the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars per year," Argall said.

The office, at 100 N Centre St., is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to assist constituents with any state-related issues. The office can also be contacted by calling 570-621-3400.

"I am grateful to have a united Schuylkill County Delegation in our General Assembly," Kerwin said. "This district office in Pottsville allows for further coordination between myself and Sen. David Argall and Rep. Tim Twardzik as well as our staff. It also offers us another location to meet with and serve more of our constituents."

"Sen. Argall's convenient downtown Pottsville office location is a great way to extend Rep. Kerwin and my outreach for our community," Twardzik said. "Our combined legislative team can offer services, schedule appointments and meetings while saving taxpayers the cost of separate offices. Everyone has learned to do more with less during the past year and I greatly appreciate Senator Argall's vision to join together to better serve our neighbors."
