Savannah-area high school football games rescheduled due to Hurricane Ian

The effects of Hurricane Ian started to hit the Greater Savannah area on Monday as all 13 local high school football games have been rescheduled.

Benedictine's Region 3-4A game at New Hampstead set for Friday has been rescheduled for Thursday, Nov. 3 with a 7 p.m. kickoff at Pooler Stadium

Savannah Christian moved a Region 3-3A game with Long County set for Thursday at Pooler Stadium to Wednesday at the same venue, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.

Savannah Country Day announced its Region 3-3A matchup with visiting Beach will be played on Wednesday at SCD instead of Friday — with kickoff set for 7 p.m.

Johnson's Region 3-3A game at Calvary Day set Friday has been moved to Oct. 14 at the same venue.

Effingham County moved its Region 2-6A game at Glynn Academy from Friday to Wednesday, with kickoff set for 6 p.m.

Islands game at Southeast Bulloch has been moved from Friday to Wednesday, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.

Bryan County's game at Montgomery County has also been rescheduled from Friday to Wednesday with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.

Windsor Forest's matchup at Tattnall County has been moved from Friday to Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

St. Andrew's moved its game at Robert Toombs Academy from Friday to Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Liberty County moved its Homecoming game from Friday to Wednesday as the Panthers will host Groves at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial Day will play at Edmund Burke at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

South Effingham's game was moved to Thursday as the Mustangs are at Screven County for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Bethesda will play some Monday night football, Oct. 3, as the Blazers travel to South Carolina to take on Orangeburg Prep with a 6 p.m. kickoff.
