Go Wolverines!

Former first daughter Sasha Obama is set to start her college journey at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor when classes officially begin next week, The Detroit News reports.

After being spotted at one of the Big Ten school's freshman orientation sessions over the summer, the 18-year-old daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama was seen accompanied by men who appeared to be Secret Service agents by several students on campus this week.

"I was walking by pushing a vacuum and she walked out right in front of me," one student named Zach Lassen told The Detroit News. "I said, 'Excuse me.' It was a crowded hallway with her and some Secret Service dudes."

Another unnamed student said that she saw Sasha looking like "a normal student" hanging out near the university's undergraduate library over the summer.

Speculation that Sasha would be attending U of M began last December, when she reportedly posted a photo with two friends on her private Instagram account that said, "So proud to say I'm going to college with my sisters!"

The Obamas have yet to confirm that their youngest daughter is headed to Michigan for college, and the school itself said that it "cannot confirm the enrollment of any student. Classes do not start until next week, and we are weeks away from official enrollment information."

Sasha's decision to go to a Big Ten school puts her on a different path than the rest of her family, who all attended Ivy League schools: Her father, Barack, is a Columbia University alum; her mother, Michelle, went to Princeton; and her older sister, Malia, is about to start her junior year at Harvard.

Students in Ann Arbor told The Detroit News that they're excited about Sasha becoming one of their peers: "I think it's cool that even though her family went to Ive League schools, she decided that UM was the caliber high enough to match that of an Ivy League school," one student told the outlet.

Since the President Obama's second term ended in January 2017, Sasha has been living with her parents in Washington, D.C., where she finished out her high school career at Sidwell Friends School. Naturally, her senior prom photos went totally viral.
