Sarasota County supervisor of elections announces polling place changes for Aug. 23 primary

Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner has announced a few changes to Election Day polling locations ahead of the Aug. 23 primary election.

Voters who reside in precincts 205 and 207 previously voted in the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium but will now be voting at McCown Towers (1300 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota).

Voters who reside in precincts 211 and 213 were relocated to Holiday Inn Sarasota-Lido Beach-@The Beach for the March 8 election but now moving to St. Armands Key Lutheran Church (40 North Adams Drive, Sarasota).

Turner has mailed new Voter Information Cards to all affected voters to notify them of the change to their polling location. Information about these changes is also included in sample ballots that were recently mailed to voters who have not requested vote-by-mail ballots. Notices will also be posted at the former polling places on Election Day.

All polling locations are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 23. For more information or assistance, voters can call the elections office at (941) 861-8619 or visit SarasotaVotes.gov.
