Santa Rosa Beach apartment unit damaged in fire
An apartment unit at The Southern Apartments in Santa Rosa Beach was damaged in a fire Saturday.
The South Walton Fire District received the call about a structure fire at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived on scene, the fire had been contained to a single bedroom in the apartment by the unit's sprinkler system.

One person had to be evacuated from the unit due to smoke inhalation, but was not transported to a hospital for further treatment, according to South Walton Fire District.
Fire damage to the unit was contained to the one bedroom, however, the unit did sustain additional water damage from the sprinklers.
