Hunger Games actor Sam Claflin and Guardians of the Galaxy star Laura Haddock have announced they have separated, six years after they got married.

Claflin shared the news with fans on Instagram, stating the couple still feel “love, friendship and a deep respect” for each other, despite their split.

The two stars met in 2011 at an audition for the Marilyn Monroe biopic My Week With Marilyn and married at a private ceremony in July 2013.

They have two children together - three-year-old son Pip and 18-month-old daughter Margot.

“We will move forward with nothing but love, friendship and a deep respect for one another whilst we continue to raise our family together.

“We won’t be commenting on this further. Thank you in advance for your support and respecting our privacy at this time.”
