Saco Valley Land Trust hosts a Ramble at Sevigny Woods, Dec. 5

BIDDEFORD, Maine — Not every walk in the woods needs a trail! Saco Valley Land Trust invites the public to a Ramble at Sevigny Woods in Biddeford, on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at 1 p.m. Join SVLT members and friends for an off-trail hike through this conserved property along Pool Street. Enjoy the fresh air and trees with a group of like-minded adventurers.

The woods at the Sevigny family’s donation are not difficult to walk through – we will stroll among the trees and make our way to the marsh overlook. We expect this ramble to take about an hour, give or take. Our friend and naturalist Cheri Brunault will be on hand to point out interesting forest features, and members of the land trust board will explain how they work to protect these properties for our precious wildlife.

Please park along the sides of Scadlock Mill Road near its eastern end. We will meet on the north side of Pool Street, at the end of the guardrail. Come prepared for the weather; the event will cancel if there is any precipitation worse than a very light snow. For more information, contact Cheri Brunault at 978-476-6457 (call or text), or cheri.brunault@gmail.com.
